Megapoxy P1 is a non-sag, two-part epoxy paste for structural concrete repairs, gap filling and bonding steel, stone and precast elements. Its very low-VOC formulation complies with AS/NZS 4020:2018 for use in structures in contact with drinking water.

Concrete, tank and pipe repairs

Use P1 to fill concrete spalls, repair pipe and tank surfaces, bond precast sections and protect exposed reinforcement. Its paste consistency stays in place on vertical and overhead faces, while resistance to hydrogen sulphide makes it particularly relevant to sewage infrastructure.

Choose P1, PM or PF

Choose P1 where potable-water contact or sewage exposure matters and a 60-minute working time helps with positioning. Megapoxy PM is a versatile non-sag paste for general construction bonding; Megapoxy PF is the rapid-setting choice for urgent small repairs.

Before you apply

Prepare clean, sound concrete or bare metal, then mix equal volumes of Parts A and B until uniform. Working time is 60 minutes at 25°C. Minimum cure is 24 hours at 25°C; full cure is four days at that temperature. Do not apply below 10°C.

Can Megapoxy P1 be used in drinking-water structures?
Yes. Megapoxy P1 complies with AS/NZS 4020:2018 for use in repairs to structures in contact with drinking water.

What makes P1 different from Megapoxy PM or PF?
P1 combines a non-sag paste with potable-water compliance, hydrogen-sulphide resistance and a 60-minute work time. PM offers general-purpose bonding; PF sets much faster.

How long does Megapoxy P1 take to cure?
At 25°C, minimum cure is 24 hours and full cure is four days. Lower temperatures extend the cure schedule.

Non-sag paste for vertical and overhead concrete repairs. AS/NZS 4020:2018 compliant for structures in contact with drinking water. Resistant to hydrogen sulphide in sewage treatment environments. 60-minute working time at 25°C; 1:1 mix by volume.
Remove coatings, laitance, grease and dust from concrete or metal. Measure equal volumes of Parts A and B and blend until the dark-grey paste is uniform. Apply by trowel or spatula within the 60-minute working time at 25°C. Minimum cure is 24 hours and full cure is four days at 25°C.
Do not apply below 10°C or over weak, painted or contaminated surfaces. Minimum cure at 25°C is 24 hours; full cure takes four days. Use equal volumes of both components and mix thoroughly.

Megapoxy P1 - Use Cases

Here are some common examples on where Megapoxy P1 used by our customers.

Civil Construction

Potable-Water Tank Repairs

Repair concrete tanks and pipes in contact with drinking water using a non-sag epoxy paste that complies with AS/NZS 4020:2018.

Potable-water compliance and a paste consistency make P1 appropriate for prepared concrete repair details.

  • AS/NZS 4020:2018 compliant
  • 0.067% water absorption
  • 80 MPa compressive strength
  • 4 g/l VOC

Civil Construction

Sewage and Concrete Spall Repairs

Fill spalls and rebuild prepared concrete edges on pipes, tanks and vertical structural surfaces exposed to hydrogen sulphide.

P1 resists hydrogen sulphide and stays in place on vertical and overhead concrete.

  • No-Sag vertical surfaces
  • 80 MPa compressive strength
  • 24 hour cure at 25°C
  • >3 MPa bond strength concrete

Civil Construction

High-Strength Structural Bonding & Steel Protection

Bonding precast concrete, metal to concrete, or protecting exposed reinforcing steel in concrete structures where insufficient cover exists.

Its superior tensile and compressive strengths create permanent bonds, often stronger than the concrete itself, and it provides corrosion protection for steel equivalent to significant concrete cover, extending asset life.

  • Excellent tensile and compressive strengths, superior to concrete
  • Bond Strength Concrete: >3 MPa
  • Tensile Bond Strength Steel: 18 MPa
  • 3mm layer protects reinforcing steel equivalent to 50mm concrete cover

Civil Construction

Sewage Infrastructure Chemical Resistance

Protecting concrete pipes, tanks, or structures in environments exposed to aggressive chemicals like hydrogen sulphide.

Formulated for excellent chemical resistance, it withstands hydrogen sulphide attack, ensuring long-term durability in harsh wastewater treatment plants.

  • Resistant to hydrogen sulphide
  • Good strength after water immersion
  • Maximum Operating Temperature 80°C
  • Ultimate Compressive Strength 80 MPa
