What is crack injection?
Crack injection fills a crack in existing concrete with a resin that stops water passage and restores integrity. Mountain Grout Flexible, Gel Foam, and Ultra are injection resins for active-leak and static-crack repair. The resin is injected under pressure through ports fixed along the crack.
How do I stop an active leak?
A rapid-set water plug (Gripset C-Plug, Mapei Lamposilex) sets in seconds to minutes and halts active water at the leak point. Once the leak is stopped, a crack-injection resin or repair mortar completes the repair.
Is repair and injection part of new waterproofing?
No. This branch is remedial — it applies where existing concrete has cracked or where a membrane has failed and the leak must be stopped from the accessible side. New waterproofing uses the membrane system at the Apply Membrane stage.
What is the difference between positive and negative waterproofing?
Positive waterproofing is applied on the water-facing side. Negative waterproofing is applied on the side opposite the water, typically the interior of a basement or tank. Crack injection and rapid-set plugs are often negative-side techniques.
Can I inject a crack that is actively leaking water?
