Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use one sponge for epoxy and cement grout?
No. Epoxy resin clogs ordinary sponge cells within minutes and never washes out fully. Keep a dedicated Raimondi epoxy sponge for epoxy jobs and a standard cell sponge for cement grout.
How damp should the sponge be when wiping grout?
Wringed nearly dry. A wet sponge pulls grout out of the joint and weakens it. A barely-damp sponge cleans the tile face while the joint stays packed.
What is the Panther grout clean-up system?
A two-sponge set: one firm sponge that shapes and cleans the grout line, one soft absorbent sponge that lifts haze from the tile face. Replacement sponges are stocked so the handle stays in service.
How do I remove dried grout haze later?
Mechanically, not with more water. A stiff sponge and clean water removes light haze within a day. Haze older than that usually needs a dedicated grout haze remover chemical.
