Which adhesive hangs a sign without fixings?
MS-609 or High Power 609. Both grab in about a second, so vertical panels and lettering hold without bracing while the bead cures. Keep heavy loads supported until the cure is complete.
Which adhesive suits outdoor display signs?
The polyurethanes. PU50, PU15, Hi-Flex 50 and Hi-Flex 60 all name display-sign work and take weather and joint movement. Pick by substrate, bead size and cure time. Prime slick faces with Primer 50A first.
How do I prepare a slick surface before mounting?
Clean it, dry it, then wipe Primer 50A on sparingly. It covers glass, aluminium, powder-coated metal, plastics, acrylic and polycarbonate, and it is made for sign work. It dries in about 15 seconds.
Which sealant seals around an installed sign?
SA Contractors silicone. It seals metal and plastic sign assemblies and holds up outdoors. N40 silicone also names sign manufacture and fitout. Neither replaces sound joint design and drainage.
What else do I need for the job?
