Adheseal High Power 609 is a high-initial-grab MS polymer adhesive for fixing panels, signs, trims and other compatible components where holding power during installation matters. It bonds a wide range of prepared building and fabrication materials, then moisture-cures to a flexible joint that can tolerate movement and vibration.
Choose High Power 609 when a standard construction adhesive does not provide enough initial tack for an awkward vertical installation. The non-sagging hybrid formula helps hold parts in position while the permanent bond develops, though heavier or safety-critical components may still need temporary support or mechanical fixing.
Where to use it
-
Vertical sign and display panels: bonding suitable display substrates to compatible prepared backing materials.
-
Interior fit-out: fixing trims, panels and joinery components such as timber, MDF or laminated surfaces.
-
Mixed-material fabrication: bonding compatible ceramic, metal, timber, plastic or fibreglass components after adhesion testing.
-
Vibration-prone assemblies: flexible bonding of suitable components in building and industrial fabrication.
High Power 609 or Hi-Flex 60?
High Power 609 prioritises high initial tack for positioning parts during assembly. Hi-Flex 60 is a firmer high-modulus adhesive/sealant suited to reinforced panels and joints that also need sealing. Neither replaces engineered fasteners where the assembly requires them.
Application and selection
Clean and prepare sound substrates; carry out an adhesion test on unknown coatings or plastics. Apply appropriate adhesive beads, press components into place and support them where necessary until sufficient cure and strength have developed. Cure requires environmental or substrate moisture, so do not use in completely moisture-starved conditions.
Do not rely on uncured High Power 609 to carry loads or use it as a structural glazing system. Confirm compatibility on sensitive surfaces and keep curing adhesive away from incompatible chemicals and uncured polyurethane.
