Chalk Lines & Marking Tools

A chalk line snaps a straight datum across a floor or wall faster than a tape and a pencil. Tilers snap the first tile row so every tile keys off one mark. Waterproofers snap membrane cut lines. One chalk string sets the layout, so rows do not drift a few millimetres at a time.

Reel and refill

Start with the reel. The BAT Trim chalk line reel carries 30 m of cord, so a wide room snaps in one pass. The aluminium case takes site knocks, the reel re-chalks the line as you rewind, and the hooked handle doubles as a plumb bob. A sealed fill port keeps chalk in the case, not in your bag. Then keep a refill in the toolbox. The BAT Trim refill is fine chalk, so the line stays crisp on concrete instead of blowing away, and the sealed bottle stops clumping in humid weather.
