For everyday construction joints, a neutral-cure silicone can offer broad substrate compatibility without the corrosion concerns associated with some other cure chemistries. Sikasil®-702 is Sika's premium, one-component 100% silicone sealant for suitable internal and external sealing work.
One silicone for a range of building details
Use Sikasil-702 around approved glazing, ceramic, tiled, painted and general construction joints, including suitable kitchen, bathroom, window and roof details. Its elasticity, weatherability and mould resistance make it a versatile option when the specification calls for a general-purpose silicone rather than a specialist adhesive or fire-rated sealant.
Check the substrate before selecting
Not suitable for natural stone, copper or certain porous materials. For a wet-area-focused option, compare SikaSeal Kitchen and Bathroom. Confirm substrate compatibility, movement requirements and application preparation with the current Sika instructions.
