Formol Eco is a ready-to-use, mineral-oil-based formwork release agent containing at least 90% recycled mineral oil. It helps prevent freshly placed concrete bonding to suitable steel, timber and fibreglass formwork.
Clean formwork release for concrete casting
Suitable for site formwork and precast moulds, Formol Eco assists clean separation of concrete and the form surface. It also helps reduce rust accumulation on steel moulds and can make selected equipment such as agitator bowls, wheelbarrows and shovels easier to clean after concrete handling.
Coverage and application
Prepare the formwork by removing grease, loose rust, old concrete and other debris. Apply a thin, even film by conventional spray equipment, brush or roller and mop away excess before casting. Do not dilute. Sika lists indicative coverage of 19 m²/L on timber and 30 m²/L on steel, subject to surface condition.
