SILCOR 560 HB LVOC is a solvent-free, very low VOC, one-part polyurethane waterproofing membrane. It cures to form a flexible, seamless Class III barrier for protected internal and external work.

For vertical, horizontal and sloping surfaces

Use 560 HB LVOC on prepared basement and retaining walls, lift pits, balconies, podiums, planter boxes and internal wet-area floors. The high-build membrane suits vertical and sloping surfaces as well as horizontal areas. It is not self-levelling.

Keep the membrane protected

This is a concealed waterproofing membrane, not a finished traffic surface. Protect it from long-term UV exposure, traffic and damage with the specified covering. Some exposed turn-up details use SILCOR Top Coat 75, while bonded finishes require a separate tie coat. For a semi self-levelling membrane on horizontal surfaces, compare SILCOR 575 LB.

Can SILCOR 560 HB LVOC be applied vertically?
Yes. It suits prepared horizontal, vertical and sloping surfaces. It is not self-levelling.

How flexible is SILCOR 560 HB LVOC?
Class III to AS 4858:2004 with more than 1,400% elongation; separately Class III to AS 4654.1:2012 with more than 700% elongation.

When can it be flood tested?
Allow approximately 48 hours at 23°C and 60% relative humidity. Site conditions affect curing.

Can it be left exposed?
No. Protect the membrane from UV. Some specified exposed turn-up details use SILCOR Top Coat 75.

One-part, high-solids, very low VOC polyurethane waterproofing membrane for concealed internal and external waterproofing. Suitable for prepared horizontal, vertical and sloping surfaces; not self-levelling. Class III to AS 4858:2004 with more than 1,400% elongation, and Class III to AS 4654.1:2012 with more than 700% elongation. Approximately 48 hours through-cure before flood testing or topping under stated test conditions. Protect from long-term UV and traffic with the specified covering or approved Top Coat 75 turn-up details.
Prepare sound, clean, dry substrates and select the correct GCP primer. For suitable dry substrates (maximum 5% moisture), apply SILCOR Primer BS at a minimum initial rate of 0.3 kg/m²; moisture-affected concrete may require EPOCOTE F100W Clear or another specified system primer. SILCOR 560 HB LVOC suits horizontal, vertical and sloping substrates and is not self-levelling. Apply sufficient coats to achieve the required project-specific dry film thickness. Allow approximately 48 hours through-cure at 23°C/60% RH before flood testing or topping; lower humidity or temperature can extend drying. Follow the current Australian SILCOR 560 HB LVOC data sheet for full application, joint detailing and protection requirements.
Use as a waterproofing membrane rather than a finished traffic surface. Do not use as an exposed finished membrane. For approved turn-up details, use the specified SILCOR Top Coat 75 protection. Recommended substrate moisture content is below 5%; use the specified damp or green concrete primer where required. Concrete and render must meet the project-specific GCP primer and substrate preparation requirements. If the membrane is outside its specified recoat window (typically 12–48 hours at 23°C/60% RH), follow the current Australian SILCOR 560 HB LVOC data sheet for preparation and recoat requirements.
  • Concrete, block and brick.
  • Cement render.
  • Timber.
  • Compressed fibre-cement and GRC.
  • Aerated lightweight concrete.
  • Other stable substrates approved by GCP.
