Fine concrete surface defects need a finishing mortar that can level pores and prepare the surface for subsequent protection. Sikagard®-720 EpoCem® is a three-part epoxy-modified cementitious mortar for smoothing concrete, filling pores and repairing minor surface imperfections. It can also act as a temporary moisture barrier beneath specified Sikafloor® or Sikagard® resin systems.
Level, repair and protect concrete surfaces
Use this vapour-permeable mortar on suitable internal or external concrete where a fine, consistent finish is needed. Its compatibility with appropriately prepared damp or dry concrete and resistance to demanding exposure conditions make it useful in selected concrete repair and protective-coating systems.
Choose the correct layer thickness
For general pore filling and levelling, Sika specifies 0.5–3.0 mm application thickness. Use a minimum 2.0 mm layer where the product is specified as a temporary moisture barrier, and observe the resin overcoating conditions in the system data sheet. The pre-proportioned 20.75 kg kit contains Part A (1.07 kg), Part B (2.68 kg) and Part C (17 kg). Mix and apply all components as instructed; this is a professional system product rather than a general-purpose floor leveller.
