Megapoxy 154 is a water-based epoxy primer and sealer for concrete and masonry, including suitably prepared damp or green concrete. It seals porous surfaces and forms a tough, matt finish, making it particularly useful when preparing a slab for a flooring system.
Use Megapoxy 154 as a moisture-barrier coating on damp concrete, to dust-seal internal floors or to prime concrete before suitable vinyl and timber flooring. It can also be used beneath compatible acrylic and polyurethane waterproofing membranes. Unlike a flexible membrane, however, 154 does not bridge moving cracks and must not be used as a complete waterproofing membrane on its own.
Choose 154 when the concrete is damp or recently placed. Megapoxy LVS is a clear penetrating sealer for thoroughly dry concrete, brick, stone and timber; it can also prime dry floors before Megapoxy MC.
Before coating: Remove laitance, curing compounds and previous coatings. Mix equal volumes of A and B, then apply at least two coats. Allow a minimum of 24 hours at 25°C and 50% relative humidity before applying an overlying finish. Avoid metal substrates and temperatures below 10°C.
Can Megapoxy 154 go onto damp concrete?
Yes. It is a water-based epoxy primer and sealer designed for suitably prepared damp concrete and masonry.
Can it replace a waterproofing membrane?
No. It is a rigid moisture-control sealer, not a flexible, crack-bridging waterproof membrane.
