Description

Lauxes Grates NXT 35 – Midnight is a 100mm wide, 35mm deep anodised aluminium linear drain, a deeper-profile option for tiled drainage runs designed around a 35mm channel. Its removable roll-out grate makes the channel accessible for cleaning, while the anti-water-tracking profile helps direct runoff into the drain.

The channel can be cut to suit the installation, with the waste outlet positioned to align with the plumbing layout. The Midnight finish gives the exposed grate a coordinated architectural appearance without changing the profile's underlying drainage dimensions.

Selecting the right NXT profile

Choose NXT 35 where the finished floor build-up can accommodate the 35mm depth. Select the required selling length and compatible waste outlet from the listed options; confirm floor falls, waterproofing and plumbing requirements with the installer before ordering.

Installation considerations

Use the manufacturer's installation guidance and protect anodised aluminium from wet cement, screed and harsh cleaners. The grate is a drainage component and does not replace the waterproofing system.

Common Questions

Can NXT 35 be cut to length onsite?
Yes. Lauxes states its grates can be cut, joined and adjusted onsite.

What waste outlet sizes suit NXT 35?
40mm, 50mm, 72mm and 80mm.

Can NXT 35 be used indoors and outdoors?
Yes. NXT 35 is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

What is the load rating?
Lauxes technical data rates NXT 35 as Class B with a stated maximum load of 10.2 tons.

Uses & Benefits
NXT 35 is a 100mm wide, 35mm deep anodised aluminium slotted linear drain with an easy roll-out top for cleaning and maintenance. Lauxes technical data lists 40mm, 50mm, 72mm and 80mm outlet options and a Class B load rating with a stated maximum load of 10.2 tons.
How To Apply
Use NXT 35 for outdoor linear drainage where a 35mm-deep channel is required. Form the recess with a template 10 to 20mm wider than the grate, then cut the channel to length, drill the waste opening where required and fit the outlet and end caps with neutral-cure silicone. Install the grate level as the final flooring step.
Limitations and Safety Info
The grate does not form part of the waterproofing system and must not contact wet cement or screed. It must be installed after waterproofing, tiling and grouting with neutral-cure silicone. NXT 35 is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Suitable Substrates
Tiled floor systems over concrete or screed with a separate waterproofing membrane; fibre-cement sheet floor systems; waterproofing foam-board systems. The grate sits in the prepared recess and is fixed with neutral-cure silicone.
