Trade Professional Information

  • Required Tools: Sealant gun, masking tape, utility knife, smoothing tool, cleaning cloths, backing rod (for deeper joints).
  • Trade-Specific Tips: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants. Use a backing rod for deeper joints. Mask joint edges for a neat finish. Tool off the sealant before skinning for a smooth appearance. Use primer where necessary (50A for non-porous, 2001 for porous substrates). Maintain 2:1 sealant width to depth ratio.
